Case Study #1 Managing in the Digital World:Apple Computer by Winna Lucena

1. Given the pace at which technology is converging (e.g., phones, music players, cameras, and so on), what do you think is next for Apple?
Answer: I think so many questions, and next week or next month or next year when some of these things actually happen, all start taking stabs at predicting what will come after that. It’s part of the fun of being Mac users.
Of course, our handful of answers are pure speculation at best, but some have been prognosticated by analysts for months or even years.
2. Apple has had many “near-death” experiences throughout its history. Is Apple now here to stay?
Answer: Yes, Any company can go grow up. It's just business, Apple is looking pretty good at the moment but the market can change with any technological advance, they are gone. A company needs to grow and change with the technology and the times. If it does not, it will eventually fail. Apple seems to be doing just that, keeping up with the times
3. Jobs has been the catalyst for many of Apple’s successes (and failures). Can Apple survive without Jobs?
Answer: Jobs was famous some say notorious  for keeping an iron grip on every step of the product development process, from conception to execution. The Macintosh, the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad all shine with his distinct design sensibility. Still, investors and consumers alike had grown accustomed in the past year to the idea of Apple without its visionary leader.
